ASSH Chapters

The ASSH Chapters are semi-formal organisations located in each state of Australia to further the aims and objectives of the Society on a regular basis. Convened by ASSH representatives in local areas, the Chapters hold a range of different events and forums, open to other members and the public. For a schedule of planned events, please click on each chapter.

ASSH Chapter Guidelines

The ASSH Chapters are managed by the Chapter Liaison Officer, Bernard Whimpress, and organised according to the ASSH Chapter Guidelines. Click here for a copy of the guidelines. Minutes of each ASSH Chapter need to be forwarded to the Chapter Liaison Officer. For a proforma for the minutes, click here.

ASSH Chapter Grants

To further the work of the Chapters, the Executive has made funds available upon application. These grants are:

General Support Grant: This grant funds Chapter activities annually. In 2006, a maximum of $200 is available for each Chapter. These funds may be expended on administrative costs (including room hire, photocopying, stationary and postage), nibbles/beverages, Christmas party expenses and any other as approved by the Executive. These funds do not have to be acquitted against receipts

Special Purpose Grant: This grant is designed to fund a specific event (eg conference, or guest speaker).  In 2006, there is a total of $1500 available, with each grant set at a maximum of $500 (maximum of one grant per Chapter each year). These grants must be acquitted against receipts. These funds may be expended for an invited speaker (including travel, accommodation and meals, excluding honoraria or speaker's fees), equipment hire, venue hire, publications costs and any other as approved by the Executive.

To apply for either of these grants, please use the application form.
